Man of Action Entertainment Returns to Ben 10 for Definitive New Comic Book Era
Following its buzzworthy reveal at New York Comic Con, Dynamite Entertainment and Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products have unveiled new details about the highly anticipated return of Ben 10 to comic books - with the franchise’s original creators back at the helm.
The powerhouse quartet behind the global phenomenon, Man of Action Entertainment, is officially reuniting for the series. The acclaimed team — Joe Casey, Joe Kelly, Duncan Rouleau, and Steven T. Seagle — originally launched Ben 10 and have since built careers spanning comics, animation, film, and television. Their credits include work on icons like Superman and Spider-Man, as well as co-creating Big Hero 6.
“As original creators of the entire Ben 10 phenomenon, this comic book is a huge deal for us,” said Casey. “For Ben 10 fans, both new and old, we’re committed to giving you everything you could possibly want in this series. We’ve got every previous incarnation to draw from and we’re not holding anything back. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again… this is the most ‘Absolute’ Ben 10 you can get!”
A MODERNIZED ORIGIN BEGINS IN MAY
The new series kicks off May 6 with an explosive first arc written by Casey and illustrated by Robert Carey. A veteran storyteller known for work on WildC.A.T.s, X-Men, and Avengers, Casey is delivering a refreshed, action-forward take on Ben Tennyson’s iconic origin. Carey, whose credits include James Bond and Jennifer Blood, brings dynamic visuals to the relaunch.
The story revisits the pivotal camping trip where young Ben discovers the alien Omnitrix after a meteor crash — but this time, the scope expands. The updated origin explores real-world consequences, military involvement, and a legitimate alien threat, grounding the mythology in a broader, more modern context. Future arcs will continue building a cohesive continuity while pulling from fan-favorite elements across every Ben 10 era.
The series will follow a classic superhero-comic format, with rotating story arcs written by the full Man of Action Entertainment team, giving each creator a chance to leave their mark while steadily expanding the universe.
VARIANT COVERS AND COLLECTOR EDITIONS
Issue #1 will debut with an extensive lineup of variant covers celebrating the collaborative spirit of the franchise. In addition to Carey and Rouleau, contributing artists include Dustin Nguyen, Sebastian Piriz, and Eric Canete. Fans can also hunt for limited-edition covers through mystery blind bag editions or pick up a Blank Authentix version to create their own custom alien designs.
With Man of Action Entertainment fully reengaged and steering the creative direction, the upcoming series promises to deliver the boldest, most expansive vision of Ben 10 yet — straight from the creators who started it all.
