This January, Dynamite Entertainment and Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products unveil the next major chapter in the ThunderCats comic saga with ThunderCats: Lost in Time — a must-read special from writer Ed Brisson (New Mutants, Predator) and artist Chris Campana (G.I. Joe, TMNT).
Following the success of the ongoing flagship series by Declan Shalvey, Brisson continues to shape the expanding ThunderCats mythos. His work on titles like ThunderCats: Lost, SilverHawks, and one-shots including Apex, Pumyra, Panthro, and the upcoming Ho!(liday) Special, has laid the foundation for this bold new story.
In Lost in Time, the core team from ThunderCats: Lost is violently thrown into a bleak and twisted future — a dystopian world called Sixth Earth. Formed from the wreckage of Third Earth, this shattered planet is under the grip of a totalitarian regime that has hunted the ThunderCats to near extinction. Surveillance, automaton enforcers, and a mysterious ruling power dominate the landscape. Ligon, Lynx-O, Neko, Pumyra, and a mysterious defector must unravel this dark future, seek a way home, and uncover how to stop it from ever happening.
“This one-shot will send shockwaves through the ThunderCats universe,” Brisson teases. “The team will uncover hidden truths about their history and face the toughest choices of their lives — including a massive personal sacrifice for the greater good.”
Artist Chris Campana joins Brisson for this pivotal issue, with a legacy that includes Red Sonja, Lady Death, Pathfinder, and more. Together, they’re forging a storyline that sets the stage for even more major developments in 2026 and beyond.
Adding to the excitement, ThunderCats: Lost in Time will be released as a retailer-exclusive blind bag. Fans will have a chance to collect one of four unique covers by top artists Declan Shalvey, Enid Balam, Alessandro Ranaldi, and Cat Staggs — with potential rare variants like virgin or line-art editions also in the mix.
With massive revelations and far-reaching consequences, Lost in Time isn’t just a standalone adventure — it’s a game-changer for ThunderCats comics
