This December, The Terminator Franchise Delivers a Holiday Nightmare You Won’t Forget
The holiday season is almost here—but don’t expect peace and joy from The Terminator this year. Instead, Dynamite Entertainment and STUDIOCANAL are teaming up to bring fans a chilling twist on Christmas with The Terminator: Santa Claus is Coming to Town, a brand-new comic led by writer Paulina Ganucheau (Disney Villains: Maleficent, The Powerpuff Girls).
In the devastated future ruled by Skynet, humanity isn’t just fighting for survival—they’re on the naughty list. Christmas Eve looks nothing like it used to. Amid the ruins of civilization, a few surviving Resistance elders try to keep the spirit of the season alive. Between air raids and drone strikes, young survivors gather to hear stories of a mythical figure from the past: a jolly man in red who once traveled the globe in one night, slipping past every security system to deliver joy.
To these war-hardened kids, Santa Claus sounds like something between a ghost and a tactical genius. Did he use stealth tech? How did he get past guard dogs and infrared scans? Was he… part machine, with glowing red eyes under that fur-lined hat? Compared to the relentless Terminators hunting them down, Santa’s legend is both magical and deeply suspicious.
Ganucheau joins forces with artist Kendall Goode to craft a pulse-pounding, darkly festive tale across 28 action-packed pages—a perfect gift for fans of sci-fi with a sinister holiday twist.
The release also features a sleigh-full of variant covers by Kendall Goode, Will Robson, Francesco Biagini, and Reese Hannigan — each wrapping this brutal Christmas tale in seasonal style.
